Nickel Bar and Rod

Nickel bar supplied to ASTM B160 - stock, custom sizes, global export.

Our Nickel bar and rod collection brings together Nickel 200 and 201 - supplied as round, square and forged bar and rod for corrosive, high-temperature and strength-critical service across chemical, energy, marine and process industries.

Nickel 200 and 201 are commercially pure nickel with high thermal and electrical conductivity, excellent resistance to caustic alkalis and many neutral or reducing salts, and good ductility for forming. 201 is the low-carbon version for service above 315 C to avoid graphitisation.

We supply Nickel bar and rod from about 6 mm up to 300 mm diameter, with square, hex and forged shapes available, in the hot-rolled, cold-drawn or forged, in the solution-annealed or age-hardened condition, with ends, surface and tolerances prepared to order. Stock items, cut-to-length and made-to-order dimensions are available, every lot shipped with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate and third-party inspection on request.

Below is the grade-by-grade specification overview, the industries we typically serve, and answers to common supply questions before you request a quote.

Applications

Nickel bar and rod are machined and forged into components that must hold strength and resist attack in aggressive service:

Caustic soda (chlor-alkali)

anode brackets, cell covers and caustic handling (200, 201).

Food & chemical processing

pure-nickel equipment for alkaline and food contact (200).

Electronics & plating

cathode and anode components, plating rolls (200, 201).

Thermal & electrical

conductors and heat-exchanger parts needing high conductivity (200).

Aerospace & instrumentation

corrosion-resistant, formable parts (201).

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What diameter range can you supply for Nickel bar and rod?

Bar and rod from from about 6 mm up to 300 mm diameter, with square, hex and forged shapes available; both stock and custom sizes are available, cut to length.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Stock sizes from one piece; mill lengths or heavy plate are priced per project. Tell us the grade, size and quantity for a quote.

Do you provide MTC / EN 10204 3.1?

Yes - every lot ships with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, and third-party inspection can be arranged.

What is the typical lead time?

Stock items ship within days; made-to-order material is typically a few weeks depending on size, condition and certification.

Can you supply non-standard sizes or conditions?

Yes - custom sizes, non-standard walls or special tempers are available on request; we also offer cutting and surface preparation.

What is the difference between 200 and 201?

200 is commercially pure nickel for most caustic and forming service; 201 is the low-carbon version for continuous service above 315 C, where 200 could graphitise. Use 201 for high-temperature pure-nickel duty.
