Overview
Nickel-based alloys are grouped into six major families — Nickel, Inconel, Incoloy, Hastelloy, Monel, and Specialty Alloys. Each family is engineered for a distinct set of service conditions, from cryogenic service to 1000°C and above, and from mild alkalis to the most aggressive acids. Nickel
Commercially pure Nickel 200 and 201 offer excellent resistance to caustic alkalis and strong thermal and electrical conductivity. They are widely used in caustic soda handling, food processing equipment, and electronic components where magnetism must be avoided.
Inconel
Inconel is a family of austenitic nickel-chromium superalloys built for high temperature and severe corrosion service. Grades such as 600, 625, 718 and X-750 are staples in aerospace, gas turbines, heat treating and chemical processing.
Incoloy
Incoloy alloys combine nickel with iron and chromium for cost-effective performance in high-temperature and oxidation-prone environments. 800 / 800H / 800HT cover furnace components and thermal processing; 825 handles sulfuric and phosphoric acid service.
Hastelloy
Hastelloy is the premier corrosion-resistant family for aggressive chemical environments — hydrochloric, sulfuric and mixed acids. B-2 / B-3 resist strongly reducing media; C-22 / C-276 resist both oxidizing and reducing conditions.
Monel
Monel 400 and K-500 are nickel-copper alloys known for outstanding seawater resistance and high strength. They serve marine hardware, pump and valve components, and sour-gas service where stainless steels fall short.
Specialty Alloys
Alloy 20 and Alloy 59 bridge stainless-steel and nickel-alloy performance for sulfuric acid, flue-gas desulfurization and other demanding chemical duties where standard grades are marginal.
