Monel K500 is a nickel-copper alloy that has its strength and hardness increased by the addition of aluminum and titanium. Monel K500 has higher strength and hardness than Monel 400. Therefore, Monel K500 is often used for parts that require high strength and corrosion resistance, such as pipe fittings (flanges, valves, tees, etc.), rather than for plates like Monel 400.
